We are committed to providing our membership with free and affordable trainings located in multiple sites across the state. Our training calendar reflects the broad diversity of our audience and issues that pertain to preventing domestic violence and supporting survivors.
Our regular trainings include, among others, the Advocates' Institute - a comprehensive introduction to DV advocacy, Children & DV, Teen Dating Violence, and Coordinating Your Response to Domestic Violence, for coordinated community response teams. Special trainings cover topics like Grant Writing, Mental Health First Aid, Trauma-Informed Conflict Resolution in Shelters, Prevention Basics, and DV and Housing. As trainings become available, they are advertised in the Training Events section of our website. Please note that hotel suggestions and driving directions for all trainings are sent out at least one week in advance with the registration confirmation.
Questions about the training calendar should be directed to Rebecca Swofford, Training Specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org
